Construction has begun on the largest retail complex in Northwestern Bulgaria – HOLIDAY PARK Vratsa. With an official ceremony, Videolux Holding, which includes the Technopolis and Praktiker chains, marked the beginning of the eighth HOLIDAY PARK in the country. The retail park will be built on “2-ri Yuni” Blvd., next to the existing Technopolis and Praktiker hypermarkets. The location is easily accessible and well-known to the residents and visitors of the city. The investor and owner of HOLIDAY PARK Vratsa is Videolux Holding, while the construction has been entrusted to Avtostroy Ltd.
Following a ceremonial blessing by Vratsa Metropolitan Grigoriy, the groundbreaking was carried out by Kalin Kamenov, Mayor of Vratsa, and Todor Belchev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Videolux Holding.
"Together with our partners, we will make every effort to meet the needs and expectations of the local community. I am confident that HOLIDAY PARK Vratsa will establish itself as one of the most successful and attractive retail destinations in the region. Moreover, before the opening of the retail park, we will plant 700 trees in Seniche Park." – commented Todor Belchev during the event.
"I would like to thank Videolux Holding for choosing Vratsa as their new strategic location for business expansion. I believe the retail complex will not only create new job opportunities but also provide a significant boost to the local economy by stimulating trade and services in the region." – said Kalin Kamenov, Mayor of Vratsa.
The leading hypermarkets Technopolis and Praktiker will be part of the new, modern, and convenient HOLIDAY PARK Vratsa. Additionally, the complex will feature over 20 stores and restaurants, including well-known brands such as Mebeli Videnov, New Yorker, Pepco, LC Waikiki, Sinsay, dm, Deichmann, Sport Vision, Nechoveshki Magazini Dr. Stefanov, and others, providing visitors with a wide selection of goods and services.
The retail park will have a total commercial space of over 24,000 sq.m., creating more than 200 new jobs in the region. To ensure maximum convenience for customers, HOLIDAY PARK Vratsa will offer over 300 free parking spaces.
Plans also include the installation of electric vehicle charging stations and solar panels on store rooftops, contributing to reduced carbon emissions and enhanced energy efficiency. Additionally, textile recycling containers will be available to support HOLIDAY PARK’s sustainable business model.
HOLIDAY PARK Vratsa is part of Videolux Holding’s portfolio, which also manages other retail parks in major Bulgarian cities, including Pernik, Stara Zagora, Pazardzhik, Shumen, and Haskovo. The retail complex is expected to open in spring 2026, marking a significant milestone in the development of Vratsa’s commercial infrastructure and the economy of Northwestern Bulgaria.
